Is the globalisation really good for the humanity? In these times this question is really difficult to answer, because thanks to this process most of people are able to find the cure of illnesses which aren’t very common in many parts of the world. Nevertheless, too many people obtain habits which aren’t characteristic of their origin places; they prefer to behave as an American or a European; and, they hate their culture manifestations, they don't want to practice the rites that were practiced in their countries since remote times. So; is the globalisation really good for the humanity?
Globalisation is not working for the poor? I am for the motion. Please give me new ideas and comments on this topic. I need not have to prove that Globalisation is bad, but the thing to prove is that it is particularly not working for the poor. The rich is becoming richer and the poor is becoming poorer. So the world is mad which is aligning towards globalisation.
Can someone explain an advantage of business globalisation for me? This is for an essay i am writing on the advantages and disadvantages of globalisation. One of my points (advantage) is that there is a greater spread of skills and technology throughout the world. Can someone help me explain the point further for me? Also for a disadvantage,- the loss of economic independence and control by governments, especially those in developing countries.

Is Globalisation really the name of the American Empire? Since globalisation started more wealth has been created and extracted from third world countries than ever before in history. This has made many dictators and businessmen rich, but the wealth gap has also increased. Over 80% of the world's wealth is now concentrated in the hands of 1% of the population. Is this the result and modus operandi of globalisation? Pgarox, isn't that what an empire is?
Can anyone give any really good arguments against globalisation? I am completely against it. The only problem is, I don't know enough about economics to justify my viewpoint. I look at my own country, and I know we used to have such great industry. We invented many international engineering standards. Now, we rely on imports. I don't think it should be like this. I believe as much as possible should be manufactured locally, relying only on imports where necessary. Can anyone provide evidence that backs up my view? Or just give me your opinion - it's all interesting.
What will be the big issues facing globalisation in the next 10 to 20 years? Specifically, what will be the limits on it? What may/will cause it to stop? Conversely, what will make it unstoppable? What hidden nasties will it bring. Will they remain hidden underneath an urbane face? Are we talking fuel shortages (if so what are the alternatives?), or terrorism, or disease and pollution. Stupidity, corporations, big government. You tell me. I don't have anything other than a vague vested interest in the supply chain but I really just want to see if there are any optimists out there!? Or are we all pretty pessimistic?
What is the name of the BBC documentary about globalisation and the environment? The presenter is a younger guy. He goes to India to talk about it's carbon output. He also visits Chernobyl, considers wind and nuclear energy, and by the end of the documentary, he tracks his carbon footprint. Some other details include some environmentalists protesting on the lawn of a petrol company CEO, where the homeowners serve the protesters snacks and drinks. I believe it was released in 2005.
